ABOUT DR. GAZORI

Dr. Michael Gazori graduated from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry in Seattle in 1989. While in private practice Dr. Gazori was active in community service endeavors including Special Olympics, National Children’s Dental Health Month, and fund raisers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was a part-time clinical instructor in the University of Washington Pediatric Dentistry Clinic. He entered the pediatric dentistry residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2003 and gained further experience in the management of special needs children, traumatic injuries, sedation, and general anesthesia. As Chief Resident at Children’s Hospital in 2004 Dr. Gazori completed an externship at Children’s Dental Health Project in Washington D.C. There he developed a training survey used in South Dakota to train pediatricians and other health care providers in the recognition and timely referral of dental and oral disorders in children.

Dr. Gazori is currently on staff at Loudoun Hospital Center where he provides consultations for patients and provides educational seminars in the Birthing Inn.

Outside the office, Dr Gazori enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with his family.

ABOUT DR. AUSTIN 

Dr. Angela Austin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2004.  While in dental school, Dr. Austin served as Vice President of the Student National Dental Association, served as co-editor of the Penn Dental Journal, and participated in various community service efforts such as encouraging students in local Philadelphia high schools to consider careers in dentistry. She was selected as a National Health Service Corps scholar and served two years in a very underserved community, providing dental care to many people who were in great need of care.

Dr. Austin went on to pursue a residency in pediatric dentistry at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2004.  It was here she gained a great deal of experience in craniofacial anomalies, comprehensive treatment of patients with special needs, interceptive orthodontics, trauma management, sedation dentistry, and dentistry under general anesthesia. As Chief Resident in 2005, Dr. Austin completed an externship in Las Ventanas, Honduras providing dental care in the dental clinic of an orphanage. This experience motivated her to be a long-term godparent for a child in the orphanage.

Dr. Austin is currently an attending instructor at Children's National Medical Center. She enjoys spending time with her family, her Yorkshire Terrier, Coco, working out, and her sorority.

Sharon
Registered Dental Hygienist

We are pleased to have had Sharon recently join our team. Sharon is a native Washingtonian and long-time Reston resident. She brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field to our practice. She continually strives to add to her knowledge and keep abreast of the latest dental science. She enjoys meeting each of our patients and their families and feels it is a privilege to participate in their care. Her goal is to make each child’s dental experience comfortable and positive. In her spare time Sharon enjoys spending time with friends and family, equestrian sports, tennis, swimming, sailing and travel.

 


Jessica
Receptionist


Walk through our front doors and you will be greeted by the cheerful smile of Jessica, the newest member of the Little Pearls team. With eight years of experience in the field, Jessica loves working in pediatric dentistry and it shows. Her interactions with parents and children are genuine, professional, and warm. Being a mom herself, Jessica can relate to the many rewards and challenges parents face. You can count on her to help make your and your child’s experiences at Little Pearls enjoyable and positive.

Jessica has been a resident of Virginia for 12 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and dancing.


Mehrnoosh
Pediatric Dental Assistant

We are excited to introduce our newest team member, Mehrnoosh. Merhnoosh has many years of experience working with children and it continues to be her passion. She brings a lot of fun and energy to Little Pearls. Mehrnoosh believes that children bring you joy and happiness and she couldn't be more excited to be a part of the team at Little Pearls. She obtained a dental hygiene degree from Denmark and moved to the United States in 2006. Mehrnoosh enjoys a good workout, listening to music, and spending time with her daughter who is currently studying at the University of Virginia.

 

 

Lesley
Pediatric Dental Assistant

 

Prior to joining Little Pearls Lesley worked 15 years in a general dentistry office. She never thought working with children could be so much fun. Lesley is a native of Michigan. She had the great fortune of spending much of her younger days in Florida where her dad worked for NASA. Lesley loves living in Broadlands. Her greatest joy is spending time with her older daughter, Olivia who enjoys swimming, soccer and being a little Daisy and enjoying her newest bundle of joy, Madison. Lesley is very excited to be a part of the team at Little Pearls and looks forward to meeting you and your children!

 

 

Liz
Dental Assistant

 
Liz recently made Northern Virginia her home. She is a Certified Dental Assistant and graduated with honors from Concorde Career College in Tennessee. Shortly after graduation she relocated to Stuttgart, Germany where she had the privilege of working with military members and their families. Being stationed overseas, Liz has also had the opportunity to travel to many beautiful countries in Europe.

Liz feels blessed to be a part of the Little Pearls family where she loves to interact with her exuberant little friends. She makes each visit an enjoyable experience for both patients and parents and eases any fears her patients may have. Liz believes that listening and understanding our patients and their parents, while making each visit fun, are key to building lasting relationships.

Her interests include movies, going on walks, reading, traveling and visiting her hometown of Whidbey Island in Washington State. Most importantly, her favorite pastime is spending time with family and friends, especially with her beautiful daughters Jasmine and Alivia.
